We are in the week that holds the World Water Day (March 22nd) and a billion people on our planet still lack access to clean and safe drinking water.
Protect our water is a must for every person living in this planet.
But you can do more! Take for example our friends from “Charity: Water” (We talked about them on the related Post “Our Water”). They have now funded 1,247 water projects in 14 countries, transforming the lives of more than 650,000 people. They just returned from visiting their wells in Central African Republic.
I thought it would be good to bring back some old post subjects so we can see where it is going and also to continue to stimulate you to help!
Music opens our heart and… we must do something with our now opened new heart. If you want to help increase statistics of places with clean and drinkable water, visit Charity: Water, they will help you begin your project!

Be a Do Gooder
So you’ve noticed that the world could use a little more kindness. So have we! Surfing at ANH Global website (Alliance for New Humanity) we found out about Daily Challenge.
Daily Challenge is a social network, but more importantly, it is an answer to something missing in the world. Daily Challenge suggests acts or ‘challenges’ that members can take into the real world to positively impact themselves and their communities.
The concept behind Daily Challenge is very simple: Do one good, daily. We believe that when many people perform random acts of kindness on a daily basis, lives change: those of the participants, their communities and in time, it’ll be felt across the globe.
The Alliance for New Humanity, represented by Deepak Chopra, one of the world’s greatest leaders in the field of mind-body medicine, face the mission to connect people, who, through personal and social transformation, aim to build a just, peaceful, and sustainable world, reflecting the unity of all humanity.

The day after a very special concert
Last Friday we performed to the children from “Casa do Zezinho”, a very special institution that take kids out of the street and offer them, besides a home, an opportunity to learn and develop their talents.
It was amazing to see the reaction from the kids. They were so happy and having a great time.
Also we played a couple of songs with some of the young kids and it was mind-blowing to see their talent. And not only in music, but also painting, crafting sculptures, writing etc.
It makes us think how many gifted and talented children are lost to crime and drugs just because a simple lack of opportunity.
We can’t keep loosing more Picassos, Mozarts, Shakespeares and Coppolas.
It’s everybody’s job to make sure every children receive a helping hand, to give them a little push and respect. That is all they need.
“Casa do Zezinho” takes care of more than a thousand of children without the government’s help. This institution is made by people that transformed their own dreams on making the dreams of others come true. There is nothing more rewarding than that.

A very special concert
This friday (Jan 16th) we are going to make a very special concert.
MindFlow will perform in front of the kids from “Casa do Zezinho”.
Casa do Zezinho is an institution with the main objective to take kids out of the streets and teach them a profession, give them home and perspective.
The institution also provides health and home assistance, physical activities and most important, it estimulates self-learning and good social behavior.
They live in a very dangerous area here in Sao Paulo surrounded by crime and like they usually say: “Here, the laws don't exist”.
We are really excited with the oportunity to maybe inspire a little bit those young kids with our music.
Most of these children haven't got the chance to see a live concert and we are really honored to give them this oportunity.
Why some kids on street are our problem others not?
Take a look at the test this institution made (at downtown Sao Paulo):

Music is life
Here we are... writing new songs again. It is an exciting period.
It's amazing how music can translate you into a sound and takes a really small piece of you and make it grow.
Music is the camera of the soul. Well, maybe it can take more accurate pictures because beyond the image it captures feelings, emotions and more...
When notes hit someone else’s heart it becomes something else. It grows.
I think this thought defines life: feelings and emotions occurring on an imaginary sense of time that makes us old but better. Like music!
So... I guess they were right! Music is Life!
Last week we've visited an institution called "Casa do Zezinho".
They work hard to take kids out of the streets and teach them a profession. And music is one of their classes.
On Jan 16th 2009, we are going to play a concert for these young kids and maybe with our music we can help and inspire a little bit on their beautiful work.
They are located in a place called "death triangle" because it's in the middle of three slums. According to the founder, "Tia Dag", the laws didn't arrive in there yet, and death is a common word in the kid’s vocabulary.
We hope music can erase this word from their vocabulary.
(Of course they were right. They are old and better.)
Send your life (music) to us!
